Pioneered on the beautiful beaches of the Eastern Cape, South Africa by a young girl, from a family of water-sport legends, who spent her childhood in the sea. After many years with waves under her board, wind in her sails and sea-salt in her hair, she decided that there just wasn’t a bikini good enough to keep up with her. She’d had hundreds of them but they came off in the surf, pulled on your neck, drowned you in spandex or made you feel a little too exposed.
She wanted something stylish but sturdy, no odd tan lines after hours on the beach, no slip ups on a duckdive. Simple but versatile, for your run in the morning and your afternoon paddle. Comfortable and fun, practical but feminine.
After years of fine-tuning a design of her own, a bikini was born that was all that she asked for. A bikini for her, born from the surf and named after the beach where it all began.
Our swimwear designs are focussed on performance, style and comfort. We aim to tread the fine line between fashion and freedom of movement with details like shoulder straps that don’t hinder your swim stroke and draw-cords in tops and bottoms. All of our swimsuits are fully lined with soft jersey fabric for extra comfort. We offer a versatile and stylish transition from beach to backline.
Our fabric designs are used in small batch runs only and are updated regularly. This means swimsuits are always unique.
Our design philosophy is to keep things simple and uncomplicated but thorough and elegant. We believe great products are made by committing to ideas and fine tuning the details. We want to make swimwear that you love to wear, swimwear that you’ll share your adventures with, swimwear that you’ll make memories in.
We only use specialist high quality stretch Nylon swimwear fabrics that are UV protective (UPF 50+) and chlorine and abrasion resistant. They boast a soft and delicate hand feel, but have a high shaping power that ensures absolute comfort and freedom of movement. All of our swimsuits are strategically sewn and bar-tacked for optimum durability.
We’re committed to using local South African skills in the manufacture of our swimwear. We’ve committed to working with South African suppliers and are proud to say that all of our products are designed and manufactured exclusively in South Africa.
